ByteKit is a free, browser-based developer tools platform built in India. Our mission is simple — give every developer instant access to the tools they need, without logins, without paywalls, and without sending their data anywhere.
Every developer knows the frustration — you need to quickly format a JSON response, decode a JWT token, or test a regex pattern. You open a new tab, search for a tool, land on a slow website covered in ads, and paste your sensitive API keys or tokens into a form that may send them to an unknown server.
We built ByteKit to fix that. One fast, clean URL. All the tools you need. Everything runs in your browser using native browser APIs — your code, tokens, and data never leave your device.
💡 ByteKit was built in Bengaluru, India — one of the world's largest developer communities. We understand the needs of Indian developers and the global developer community equally.
Starting with the most commonly needed tools — JSON formatting, Base64 encoding, JWT decoding — ByteKit has grown to 17 free tools covering formatting, conversion, API testing, image processing, PDF editing and XML processing.
ByteKit is built on four core principles that guide every decision we make:
ByteKit currently offers the following tools — all free, all browser-based, all private:
ByteKit is a fully static website — there is no backend server, no database, and no API. Every tool runs using browser-native JavaScript APIs:
JSON tools use JSON.parse() and JSON.stringify(). Hashing uses the Web Crypto API. Image resizing uses the Canvas API. PDF editing uses pdf-lib. XML and XPath use the browser's native DOMParser and document.evaluate(). HTTP requests are sent via the browser's Fetch API.
🚀 Result: ByteKit loads in under one second, works offline after the first load, and processes data at native browser speed — never limited by any server's bandwidth or processing power.
ByteKit is free to use and will always remain free. We sustain the platform through non-intrusive display advertising powered by Google AdSense. Ads are served based on general browsing context — no personal data from ByteKit tools is ever shared with advertisers.
If you find ByteKit useful, clicking on relevant ads is the best way to support the project and keep all 17 tools permanently free.
